Scottish Junior Open Titles


New Zealand's unseeded Campbell Grayson and Hong Kong's Annie Au, who was seeded only to reach the last sixteen, were the unexpected winners of the U19 titles in the Scottish Junior Open Squash Championships in Edinburgh.

Grayson, 18, from Auckland, crushed Canada's Iain Crozier for the loss of just a single point in the men's semi-finals, then upset England's Christopher Hall - conqueror of Scotland's top seed Graham Melvin in the other semi-final - 9-3 10-9 9-4 in the final to clinch the Grand Prix title on the European Junior Circuit.

Left-hander Annie Au, who is just 15, overcame fellow 9/16 seed Tenille Swartz, from South Africa, in straight games, then dismissed Malaysia's Sally Looi 9-0 9-7 9-3 in the women's final.
